It's been a really good week! I can't believe it's already been a month!

So 10 of the 12 apostles are here along with the first presidency and President Monson! It's a joke how much security there is. Like when I walk outside and you're going slow just enjoying life a security guard tells you to leave and not try looking for anyone. I'm 90% sure that the MTC is more heavily guarded right now than the White House. No joke. It's pretty disappointing that they're going through this much work to make sure the missionaries can't even get a glimpse of one of them. There are sheets over windows and everything! Elder Neves apparently saw Elder Bednar teaching a class, but that's a myth. We have a special fireside tomorrow night so I assume it's all of the general authorities speaking to us.

I saw President Glewix after dinner last night! I came out of the cafeteria and saw him through the security and waved. And there were tons of people in white shirts so he didn't recognize me. So I jumped the security thing and went over to him and he was like "Elder Gygi! How are you?" So we talked for a couple minutes. I have a special meeting with him tomorrow also for all of the people going to Fresno as well. It was good to see a familiar face.

Yesterday in class we were talking about giving priesthood blessings. Hermano Koller asked us each to give him a real peace and comfort blessing IN SPANISH. I said words that i didn't even know in Spanish. I could really feel the Holy Ghost speaking through me. And it was only the second one I’ve ever done in my life. It just reassured the power and truthfulness of the Holy Ghost and priesthood blessings. And priesthood blessings sound even more powerful coming from a set-apart representative of Jesús Cristo.

The Spanish is coming along slower and slower. Now it's just time to fine tune the grammar principles and learn to smoothly talk.

An elder flew in from Puerto Rico and came into our district on Tuesday night. We were talking to him in Spanish just practicing. I realized that I still have a long way to go. He talked so fast and when he started we all looked at each other with wide eyes. But I know it will come through faith, and the gift of tongues.

So I definitely fell asleep praying for the first time Tuesday night. Yes, it happened. I'm always way tired at 10 and i guess I just wanted to study Lehi's dream earlier than usual.

(Copy and paste the following paragraph to translate.reference.com:)

I know that the Lord will help he accomplish this through promptings of the Holy Ghost.

Thanks for all the Love and support!
Love,

Elder Gygi
