Miracles Every Week

Hey Family!

It was a decent week. We didn't have very much success with our key indicators (numbers), but that's okay because we still saw miracles. We witness miracles every week in the mission. I seriously love being a missionary.

This week we went to go contact a less active sister. We go knock on her door and she immediately lets us in. We start talking for a bit and the subject pops up about baptism. And her husband said, "yeah I really want to get baptized in your church, but my divorce papers haven't been finished."

I guess he had an interview with President Gelwix to see if he could get baptized, but in the end he couldn't yet. And that was about a year or so ago. So he kind of gave up until these papers could get all worked out. He specifically said, "I was waiting for someone to come and help us get moving in the church again."

Just another miracle that we were guided to find a specific someone. You probably get sick of these miracles I tell you (never, Taylor)but I love them. They just tell me how invested the Lord is in the missionaries. That He truly knows exactly where we are and where we need to be.

His name is R. and he has an 8-year-old son and a 9-year-old son. We set a baptismal date with him for July 7th and he said he wants to receive the priesthood the very next week and then baptize his two kids. Sooooooo cool.

I love being in this area. So much Spanish work. It was super weird cuz yesterday we taught the only English member in our ward, and I realized how bad my English is hahaha, I love it!

That's so crazy that Nyal comes home this week! Give him a big hug for me. And Tyler too. He's the best. Haha, I bet he has gone to Delski everyday this week hahaha those two are awesome.

But yeah, that was my week, pretty much. Oh, funny story, so I was talking to some "southern" people the other day on the street. Funniest day of my life. Let's just say I give major props to Nyal for not laughing during lessons. Hahaha man, gotta love the south. (Different cultures are just one of many great things about our country!)

Anyways, Take care!

Love,

Elder Gygi
