Being a Missionary is the BEST

Hey Family!

We've had just an amazing week. Being a missionary is the BEST. I'm just super excited for the great area I’m serving in. Elder Aiken and me are doing great. Right now we have 9 people set to be baptized in April The Lord is helping us so much in our area. We are working a lot on involving the Lord more in our day, instead of just a morning and night prayer, we pray in the car before each lesson we go in. We have definitely seen a huge influence of the Holy Ghost in our missions. There are so many people who are prepared to hear our message, with so little time for us to teach it to them. We struggle with now having enough time in the day. Our appointments, along with solid potentials are seriously STACKED in our planners. It's getting super hard to organize it all and prioritize it. But that's what we're working on.

Just this morning we were shopping at Walmart when we got a call from our recent convert, Sandra. She called us and told us that she had a friend who wants to hear our message and that we should come over immediately. So we finished shopping and headed over there to introduce ourselves. We get over there to meet her. She's 26, and has an 11-year-old son, 8-year-old daughter, and a 5-year-old daughter. They are super awesome. We talked about our purpose as missionaries, and that we are called to help people change their lives and come unto Christ. We taught her how to pray and we gave her a Book of Mormon and promised her that she will completely change her life if she acted on the invitations we give her. Then we set a baptismal date with the three of them for the 14th of April.

Whenever people feel the spirit, and we invite them to be baptized, I have no doubt in my mind that they fully intend to do it, and that they truly want to do it. But, if they do not act of that feeling they felt within 2 days of feeling the spirit, it will go away and they will forget why they said yes to the commitment. So we set an appointment with her for tomorrow at 7. But, I know that "faith without works is DEAD". (James 2) SO..... We’re gonna help her WORK.
