So I got like 5 minutes cuz we went to the Fresno Temple today. Super long drive. But everything’s good. We went as a zone. I sat by Elder Frost the whole time. Everything's great. I'm just absolutely loving this ward and the zone.
We were able to have 2 baptisms this weekend. A 30-year-old named Ivan who was a door contact. He was just immediately receptive and his family is awesome. His wife was already baptized, but they got married. And he was just baptized on Friday night. And on Sunday he received the Holy Ghost and the priesthood.
Sunday after church we had a baptism of a 28-year-old lady named Angelina. Her kids are recent converts and she finally made the decision to get baptized. She has an awesome testimony. And she and her family are already missionaries. Her daughter, Elizabeth talked to her cousin about the church, committed her to take the lessons, told her she has to come to church twice, and then she even set a date for her baptism on September 8th! Isn't that crazy!? Investigators already committed to the gospel!
We're doing a super good job finding people through the members. The members trust us so well and they just give us people to teach. Mostly the recent converts have the missionary fire spirit.
Those are the highlights of this week. Oh funny story, Elder Neeley and I were driving in Ceres here and we see this car with a University of Utah sticker on it. Hahaha and we're in the middle of nowhere. Sweet!
