Hey Family!
It has been a great week here in the mission field. I absolutely loved conference. We are always allowed to watch each session of conference. We watched them at the church. It's so crazy at the age change with the missionaries! There are going to be so many more missionaries now! I'm really excited. I hope our mission gets a lot more.Elder Neeley had a lot of fun this past week teaching our investigators. And there is one particular miracle that sticks out in my mind from this past week. We went to go teach a guy who we found on the street. So we knock on his door and him and his wife let us in. So we start talking there with them for a bit about their religious background and stuff.
They basically tell us they're not into religion and not interested in our message. And we just started sharing our testimonies with them about the happiness that this message can bring into their lives. And we noticed their attitudes and faces changed a little. So we asked them what they were feeling. They basically explained exactly what the Holy Ghost feels like.
And we told them what the Holy Ghost does to testify of truth and all that. And they were just completely changed after that. They started to get more into the lesson and seemed a lot more interested. So we taught part of the restoration and set up an appointment for later.
I just love moments like these more than anything else in my mission. When we can see someone who's never felt the influence of the Holy Ghost before, and then to introduce it and help them recognize it, and then they change because of it. That's the best.
I know that the Holy Ghost is the only thing that changes lives. It is the only thing that can touch the hardest of hearts. So whenever someone has that hard heart, I know we should never give up. Cuz I’ve personally witnessed on my mission the hardest of hearts completely change once they recognize the Holy Ghost. And I know that the fastest way to get the Holy Ghost to someone's heart is by bearing testimony. No one can question a testimony. And I know that everything we, as missionaries, teach is true. And that's that.
Have a fun, Holy Ghost filled week family!
Love,
Elder Gygi
